A distinguished Hair Designer, Makeup Artist, Producer, and creative leader, Nina has made a lasting impact in the beauty, fashion, and entertainment industries through her exceptional artistry, professionalism, and dedication to excellence. With nearly 30 years of experience, she has traveled extensively throughout North America and internationally, continually refining her expertise in hair design, makeup artistry, eyelash extensions, photography, and visual storytelling.

 

As a proud Nakota woman from Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation, Nina brings a unique cultural perspective and deep respect for authentic representation to every project she undertakes. Her award-winning work on Little Bird earned national recognition and positioned her among Canada’s most accomplished makeup artists. She is believed to be the first Indigenous woman to win a Canadian Screen Award for Best Achievement in Makeup.

 

With more than 80 film and television credits, Nina has contributed her talents to acclaimed productions across Canada while building a reputation for creativity, collaboration, and leadership. Her work spans feature films, television series, theatre productions, fashion events, and editorial projects, where she is known for creating compelling visual narratives through hair and makeup design.

 

Nina has also been selected as an Official Fashion Week Hair Team member in New York, London, Milan, Paris, Tokyo, and Vancouver, collaborating with designers, models, photographers, and creative teams on some of the world’s most recognized fashion stages. Her ability to seamlessly transition between film, television, and high-fashion environments has established her as a versatile and sought-after industry professional.

 

In addition to her work as a Hair Designer and Makeup Artist, Nina continues to expand her role within the film industry as a Producer, bringing creative vision, leadership, and a strong commitment to Indigenous storytelling and authentic representation both in front of and behind the camera.
